Katie has been a medical assistant and phlebotomist (drawing blood work) since 2005 and serves in that role for the practice.  You will find her meeting patients at the lobby door to escort them to the exam room while talking with them about their day.  She checks vital signs, medication lists, and discusses the reason for the visit as she enters the information into the practice’s electronic medical records.  She assists the physicians with procedures, responds to messages from patients, and addresses clinical questions that come into the practice.

Katie was born and raised twenty-five miles north of Boston in Lawrence, Massachusetts and moved to Bluffton in the summer of 2011.  She is a big supporter of disease prevention and has participated fund raisers for the National Kidney Foundation, Diabetes Association, and the Hydrocephalus Association.  Katie loves working in heath care and plans to return to school in the future to earn her degree as a registered nurse.
