Courtney

Courtney is a medical assistant for the practice.  Her role includes the clinical check-in process.  Checking and recording vital signs, discussing with patients the reason for their visit, medical problems, reviewing current medication and future needs for prescription refills and referrals are all part of her duties.  She also responds to telephone messages from patients and supports the physicians in making sure all of your medical information is properly recorded in your electronic medical record.

Originally from South Carolina, Courtney was born in Camden and attended Claflin University where she earned her degree in biology with a minor in chemistry.  She played trombone for 11 years and as a result is a member of Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Society.  She is also a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority which is committed to public service.  Additionally, Courtney is a member of the Prince Hall Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star whose mission includes betterment and enlightenment of humanity.  When not busy with her service work, Courtney enjoys travel, dining out, the beach and children.  She has plans to return to school to obtain an advanced degree in nursing or physician assisting.
